SENIOR ACQUISITIONS EDITOR, Global Business, for Georgetown University Press, with a master’s degree in international affairs (national security and Russian studies) from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in politics and Russian studies. In the past two decades as a Senior Acquisitions Editor, I’ve signed and published roughly 600 books in politics, international affairs, business, economics, and finance. Prior to joining Georgetown in 2020, I worked for Praeger, currently transitioning from an imprint of ABC-CLIO to an imprint of Bloomsbury; and Potomac Books, currently an imprint of the University of Nebraska Press, when it was part of Books International in Washington, DC.

AUPRESSES and AAP: Co-chair the Financial Operations Committee, 2022-23, and serve as a PROSE Awards Judge, 2023. Association of American Publishers.

ALUMNI LEADER of the Columbia University Club of Chicago, for which I served as Treasurer  from 2013 to 2023. When the Banana Slugs (UCSC) come to town, I show up to welcome them as well. I have been selected to speak to newly admitted UCSC students and their parents in Chicago and New York City.

VOLUNTEERED for PAWS Chicago and Back on My Feet Chicago, both of which deal with homelessness.

CHAIRED the Woman Extraordinaire Committee of International Women Associates in 2015, putting on a luncheon for 300+ members and guests to honor Karen AbuZayd at the Union League Club of Chicago for her work with Syrian refugees as a Commissioner of the United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Syrian Arab Republic.

JUDGED student entrepreneurship contests for Columbia University’s Venture Challenge, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.

SERVED as a member of the Conservation Commission and Inland Wetlands Agency, a land-use planning board in Oxford, Connecticut, 2002-2003.

AVID RUNNER and marathoner. Since 2009 I have run 15 marathons, including Boston as a qualifier, and 47 half marathons in a total of 30 states plus Cuba. Certified RRCA Level I running coach.
